Virtual Reality transports you to lapland to save christmas.

Being an Elf is better than visiting Santa for a Family Christmas day out!

A Family Christmas Day Out is a perfect opportunity to share fun times and create some magical moments. But when Christmas gets stressful when the presents are not wrapped, and it all feels like those threads of Christmas magic are getting loose and about to unravel, booking a Christmas experience can fall to the bottom of the list. For Santa, it is always the elves that save the day, and here's why being a little bit more elf this Christmas might be the answer for you.

Elf: The ultimate in Christmas joy

The classic Christmas movie that everyone knows at least one quote. It is a cultural titan when it comes to the season to be Jolly…and no one is more jolly than Buddy. He is a human living in the elf world. And although it may be awkward due to his titanic height (compared to his little “buddies”) living that life has made him the happiest, most optimistic human of all. He doesn’t just want to believe in the Christmas spirit he KNOWS it is real, and he loves it. At Elf School, the binary opposition of this huge human and tiny elves makes me not only laugh but appreciate that he doesn’t see himself differently from his peers. Even when he fails he cannot stay unhappy.  thrust into the cynical human world, it’s this enthusiastic nature that wins over even the grumpiest of Christmas grinches. I love it when he is in Elf school, the clever contrast between a huge human and tiny elves makes me not only laugh but appreciate his relentless cheerfulness regardless of the mistakes he makes.

Santa Clause: How to plan the perfect Christmas

One of my family’s traditional watches at Christmas time is Santa Clause. In this fantastical misadventure, an average man accidentally becomes Santa Claus (after accidentally removing the present Santa from the err, living.). The premise might be whacky however the soul of the season shines bright. Once again, it is ultimately an Elf that saves Christmas. Bernard is the Head Elf, and just like parents planning Christmas activities, he has to be organized and focused to fulfil family Christmas dreams. Without him, Christmas magic would certainly be lost. If only we all had an Elite ELF Squad to help us get all our festive preparations complete!

Elf movies last the test of time, not because they are some Lapland equivalent of Amazon, but because of their character. Time and again, Elfs save Christmas due to their plucky optimism, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. At Sneaky Dog Escapes, you and your family can become elves and save Christmas for yourselves with our family-friendly Christmas escape rooms. The perfect chance to create some Christmas magic and some magical memories this festive season.

Why being a little more Elf is the perfect Christmas day out

Being an elf means being happy. It means being optimistic and it usually means saving Christmas, through actions big and small. Christmas is always under threat. At Sneaky Dog Escapes, you can face the final test to graduate Elf School and make it onto the Elite Elf Squad and officially become Santa’s little helpers. Retrieve Santa’s missing items that he forgetfully left in the sitting room. If the parents discover them in the morning, Christmas magic might just be ruined forever. So bring along some “buddies” to get in that Elf can-do mindset and find all of Santa’s belongings…before it is too late. Just remember to work together, and stay optimistic! You will have to solve puzzles designed to test the Elf mind and attitude, check the fireplace for clues, and decode some letters to Santa.

Imagine visiting Lapland and being fully immersed in a winter wonderland! Picture the kids petting the reindeer and helping elves create toys at Santa’s workshop. Our delightfully playful ‘Save Christmas’ family escape room brings the North Pole to you through the wonder of virtual reality.  Save Christmas is a spectacular, immersive experience in virtual reality is all that and more. VR means that an escape room becomes an escape ‘world’ as you visit Santa’s workshop, a snowy Grotto, and light the special North Pole Christmas tree. If that is not Christmas magic, what is?!

Our Latest Review!

Absolutely fabulous experience! The attention to detail was second to none and the puzzles were well considered and varied. Enough room for a group of six to work comfortably and more rooms to explore than any previous escape rooms completed.

The host was brilliant and gave enough subtle hints to keep us moving without giving away too much. Definitely the best in Southampton and possibly the south of England. When you have a 90 minute limit it makes such a pleasant change to actually need the whole time. Was absolutely worth every penny!
